Liane Al Ghusain is a writer, teacher and researcher. She writes fiction, non-fiction, and cultural criticism – for publications including Nafas Magazine, Brownbook, Berlin Quarterly and Portal 9 Journal – and has worked on research for various film and visual arts projects, the Venice Architecture Biennial and NYU Abu Dhabi amongst them. She has taught fiction, personal writing and writing for performance workshops at Q8bookstore, Creative Space Beirut, American University of Kuwait and the Spring Sessions in Amman, Jordan. She graduated with a BA and MA in English from Stanford University (2010), was the director of Contemporary Art Platform (CAP Kuwait) in its founding year (2011) and has done postgraduate work at Ashkal Alwan (2012 - 2013). Liane works on writing and content development for Nuqat.
The original founder of Nuqat. With over eighteen years of experience in the advertisement field, Wakim founded Nuqat to revamp the stagnant creative industry in the Middle East. A graduate from the American University of Beirut in Graphic Design, Wakim is passionate about creative copy and conceptual thinking holding several local and regional advertising awards.
