Saud Al Zaid Anthropologist

Saud Al-Zaid is foremost a scholar of radical thought. He holds degrees in Economics and Comparative Literature from the University of Chicago, a Masters degree in Arab Studies from the Center of Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University, and another Masters in the Anthropology & Sociology of Religion from the Divinity School at the University of Chicago. He is currently submitting his doctoral dissertation on radical Islamic thought at the Berlin Graduate School of Muslim Cultures & Societies in the Freie Universität Berlin. He is also currently working on a documentary on Juhayman al-Utaybi and the 1979 seizure of Mecca.
